They were BNIB, still in the plastic, and this set was made in about 2005. I actually had the set that was a step up from these (PSD 216) and the only differences I've noticed is that the crossovers aren't as nice and the woofers' cones aren't wet powder coated with titanium. While the wet powder coating added some s<span style="color: black">e</span>x appeal, I don't feel like it made a huge difference in sound. And I'll be running the set active so I have no need for the xovers.
