Look what I just picked up!

Here are just a few pics of the deadening on my doors:

The first 2 are of the driver's side and the 2nd two are of the passenger side (2003 S10 single cab). I have a bit more to do around the speakers, and will be doing the egg carton foam behind the mids, along with modeling clay and some MDF trim rings. The seats are coming out in the morning, and I will be doing the floor and the rear wall, then starting the cutting on my blowthrough for my SWX-1043D. I'll post more pics as it progresses.

My setup consists of the following:

HU: Alpine CDA-9887

Front stage: Alpine SPX-17PRO

Rear stage: none

Front amp: Alpine MRV-F545 (164x4@4 ohms)

Sub: Alpine SWX-1043D

Sub amp: Alpine MRD-M1005 (1064wx1@2 ohms)

Electrical: DB Electrical 200A alternator, 1/0, big 3, 2 Kinetiks

The Pros will be run bi-amped for now, mids off front channels and tweeters off rears, and the sub will be run at 2 ohms off the MRD-M1005. I need to figure out tweeter placement so I'm gonna play around with that during the install with some double-sided tape. I am considering running them actively, but the xovers on these things are BEAUTIFUL! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif They've got all kinds of options for on/off axis, attenuation, etc. Little plugs that plug into the xover depending on how far apart your mids/tweeters are, etc. SO I will see how it sounds first. Got about 50ft^2 of the Dynamat Extreme, along with 30ft^2 of eDead (not super impressed with it). I think I am going to get another bulk pack of Dynamat Extreme or Second Skin tomorrow and use that on the floor.

I'm debating whether or not to get a 2nd 10" and 2nd M1005... I am doing a blowthrough, so as long as I'm cutting the hole..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I want to see how it sounds first though.

Hey guys... I did put a review up. They were very solid components. I've since switched back to the TS-C720PRS but the SPX-17PROs were awesome. I was especially impressed with the tweeters, but the set was great overall. The midbass didn't seem as strong as some other mids I've heard, but was very clean and clear. Hope that helps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
