I agree the cosmetics are better on the 7715 - but for someone needing a HU with a full feature set on a budget either one would be tough to beat regardless of whether they're Sony or not...

Sony is like any other brand out there, they make crap and some decent stuff. Just now, as you stated, you can get som edecent head units for a cheap price....great budget find. One is going into my wifes car.
