The display on your HU flickers? If so then you probably need to run a wire (12-14 guage) from HU to battery+. Has to be the 12V+ constant wire. Your HU is essentially starving for power if it flickers when music is played loud. OR, maybe you have a short somewhere which could cause it, or a screwed up stereo. More info needed.

I had a similar problem caused by a bad connection between the faceplate and headunit. I had to reseat the faceplate from time to time. Inexpensive unit that was only to give me the ability to play CDs in a car that was a beater. Wasn't concerned enough to replace the unit.

no i think he means hes getting voltage drop when the basss hits. Do a search this has been ansered and talked baout billions of times.
