LOCs and SQ?

Will using a LOC from my factory deck in my 2007 Mazda3 dimishing SQ much? For some reason the idea of converting from line outs to rcas back to line outs makes me uncomfortable.

I don't want an aftermarket deck because its integral to the sexiness of the factory dash :p

Well the signal is coming from your factory HU which is usually altered to fit the parameters of the OEM speakers in newer model cars. I think the challenge would be to flatten out the signal (ie JL cleansweep, rf 360.2, etc) then send it to the amplifier. I personally used the Navone LOC when I switched back to my OEM deck and noticed there were peaks and dips throughout the frequency response. For that reason I went totally back to stock speakers too. If I were you, I would personally invest in an above mentioned DSP and work off that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Hope that kind helps

From what I hear only the Bose equiped mz3's have that issue due to the way bose processes its signal.

Presuming that my connection wiring is good and the OEM deck puts out a flat response would I hear an audible difference compared to if the deck had direct RCA outs? I plan on using a nice audiocontrol unit.
