lizards..

when i lived in philippines i had one, it was about 16-18 inches long... didn't know what species it was, it caught from the wild and i fed it baby chickens until it broke its leash and ran away a month later.

geckos lived wild back home... always had at least 3 hang out by the porch light eating mosquitos, and a few more inside randomly on the walls and ceiling

My wife has a Children's Python named Pythagorus (they just call him Thag) that she has had since she was a kid.....he's like 26 years old now.

Not a huge python - only about 4.5' long - and all of her friends think it's a bit creepy that she owns a snake...to the extent they won't even go in the room where his aquarium is when they come visit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif (pansies!)

I have 3 snakes, which nearly everyone is scared shitless of when they come over lol. Great for scaring unwanted guests away:)

I used to want a tegu, but now theres no way I would have enough room for one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i have had an iguana and a chameleon. i think lizzards are kick ass pets, you just have to know what you are doing. http://www.kingsnake.com/ is a great reference for all kinds of lizzards, snakes etc. my advise: research what you are going to get, and build the enclosure first.
