living in an area, hating sports teams..

well come playoff season (baseball right now) who knows about football....i figured out a new pet peeve....

i go to school at Delaware, 35 minutes from Philly...and i live in NJ...Im a yanks fan, giants, NY rangers etc...

currently it is PAINFUL to have to sit and listen to these philly people cheering on their "sillies"....you cant go to a bar without hearing about it, and as im posting this i can hear people yelling at their TV's...

any other collegiate peeps dealing with crap like this, or even worse if you had to permanently move somewhere where you cant stand the sports teams?

U of D...and screw the 76'ers...i went to a game of theirs last year cause my roommate had free courtside tickets...and when i got there i realized why they were free

Nope, I don't have a problem with any Pittsburgh teams. The Pirates being so terrible might bother me if I watched baseball.

On a side note, I went to the Pens game last night and parked at a local university parking garage to save some money. After the game I got to ride the elevator with a drunk kid and a kid wearing a Flyers jersey (we played the Flyers last night fyi). Drunk kid has to be a dick and start crap with flyers kid. Flyers kid took advantage of drunk kid's drunkness and made fun of everything he tried to say. I have a few friends from Philly who are cool as balls, and Flyers kid was also cool as balls. I want to visit Philly now, because it seems like a cool place.

Anyhow, I grew up in Iowa--you could be a fan of either the minnesota teams or you were in the minority. I took pleasure out of wearing my Green Bay jerseys as well as my Cubs shirts. Nothing like pissing people off who take stuff too seriously. My advice is get a Rays shirt and wear it everywhere. That'll piss em off.

Just like who you like Brah. I was born and raised in Chicago and I hate the Bores, Cubs, and the 93 and beyond Bulls. I do like the Sox. I have been a Steeler fan since a couple years before Cowher took over. They are my favorite team in sports. I only consider myself a fan of that team. Other teams like the Cowboys I like, but when they play eachother I will be rooting for the Steelers. Never set foot in Pittsburgh, but they're my team.
