So I'll bring the old-school dinosaur to the party...

I have:

An ancient Gateway with a PII 300mHz (and the board it's on will not support anything bigger)

320meg of PC133 RAM

NVidia GeForce II (I think?) 32meg video

Sony CD-ROM drive, Sony CD burner drive

I don't know what kind of sound card it has

Western Digital 20gig HD

19" ViewSonic A90 CRT

HP Deskjet 895c

MS Internet Keyboard Pro (I think it's called....one of the ones with all the hotkeys across the top)

MS wireless optical mouse

I'm not a PC gamer. I don't do anything graphic intensive. I have a broadband connection that's plenty fast enough for me to surf the web, lurk on CA.com, and shop on eBay.

I have precisely $93 invested in this setup (including the last time I had to buy a color ink cartridge) as the majority of it is hand-me-down gear from family.

As my budget is generally pretty strict as far as extravagences go I'd rather spend the little bit of scratch that bills doesn't eat on audio gear so the dinosaur will serve until it dies - and it shows no signs of doing so....I'm the only person I know that's NEVER reformatted their rig. I'm on an 8yr-old OS (98se) install that just keeps on ticking. *shrug* Meh...maybe one day I'll care enough to update and get one that was built in the 21st century! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
