Because I want to try a newer technology, and I would like to try one with shorting rings as well.

Not shallow mount, it can be pretty deep, just has to work in 1.1 cubes.

I am liking what I see from the new Mag coming out, although I was hoping it would have a bit more throw than it does.

Hey I hadn't heard anything about these, look pretty interesting, if a bit pricy. Do these have Faraday rings?

Underhung is far from a new technology. If you want new tech in a motor, you want one that is BL optimized.

Well obviously we all want the BL optimized. I am looking for a high throw, low distortion, low inductance driver. Generally, an underhung, BL optimized woofer, with shorting rings will best fill that request.
