liquify air????????

The only man-made object to ever come close to 200dBA was the Saturn V rockets on liftoff...and since nobody was within five miles of them except the astronauts themselves, nobody knows what they would feel like on the pad. You'd almost be guaranteed to lose your hearing, though.

So the question is.. is it worth loseing your hearing over just to say you saw liquifyed air...

Now, do i wish my setup could produce 200 dbs... yes... but id probably have to setup some type of extra far ranged remote to play the tones ....

you've basically seen liquid air before, ever play with liquid nitrogen in HS chem class? Air is 70 some odd % nitrogen, 8% oxygen and then some trace elements. Yeah, it would be cool too see that though, a quick phase change as the particles are compressed together.

I was talking to a guy who is sponsered by rockford fosgate and he said that at a competition there was a guy who had an explorer and he had in the back a v wall with 15 15" and two 15" on the top totaling 17 15" and all on the back were speakers except right under the door handles and he had tweeders lining all of the top right above the doors and he said that the guy hit 196 db. He had to start the stereo with a remote because you would die because the air being sucked out of the car. His port was big enough to crawl into. He said he put 60 ks in the stereo alone. he had like 3/4 think glass in the back because he broke it so many times and he had to seal the entire frame so bolts wouldnt be shaked loose. He had a thing where he lift the steering wheel and a keyboaqrd would come out and he had basically a pc with all of his music. Thats the world record supposdly.

if air had 8% oxygen you would would be dead before you could read the threads on the first page of this forum. air has approx. between 19 and 21% oxygen. how do i know? because i do confined space entry permits every day at work and we measure the amount of oxygen contained in spaces, also a volunteer firefighter, and on the confined space rescue team.
