I took my HU out of my 95 Lincoln, I want to put it in my 89 f150. The wire harness that goes into the trucks stock radio fits and snaps perfectly into the harness that was on the Lincoln harness. Is it OK to just plug in and go? Or do i need to check anything? Some of the wires don't line up with each other on the ends of the harnesses when snapped in

You should use an adapter. You might gain some insight on a Town Car forum as well. https://www.installer.com/cars/by_car.php?carid=3402
