lifted or rims

Ok decision time. Income tax is around the corner and I am thinking 24" rims, or 6" lift kit with 35" tires on 16" rims. I am leaning more towards the lift because I get tired of seeing everybody's trucks on rims and also I hate that the new Ford F250 STOCK sits higher than my truck. So For those who have either rims or lift kits on their rides tell me which one rides more comfortably. Oh yeah which one is better for road trips (7+ hour trips) I am thinking about black on black kinda like this http://www.socaltrucks.com/forsale2/viewlisting.php?view=611, but with a black grill guard and maybe black lights. The bad part is garage parking. FTL

im guessing you drive an avalanche?

I dont like the look of avalanches in lifts, it takes too much of a lift for too small of a tire, and the wheel wells look retarded.

I preferred rims on my avy over a lift, after a LOT of looking around, and I am a lift guy.

Bbbuuutttt, i have a different truck now, and im lifting it, and the 24's are for sale, so i guess its really up to what you want.

I would vote lift and 35" mud terrains. but if you want a comfy highway ride and still beefy looks , go with a nice all terrain, nitto terra grappler , bfg all terrain t/a, etc. i have the new bfg mud terrain km2 and they are the quietest m/t i have heard , but would get annoying if i drove alot of 7+ hour trips lol.

throw some 4s on it and call it a day my friend. Got a buddy whos family owns a pawn shop and he is tuckin 30s on his avy, very very clean!

I believe I have pics of said vehicle, will report back in a moment.

Burbs dont look bad lifted. They dont look bad on rims though either, you really cant go wrong.

rims will ride easier than a lift for sure though, unless you spend quite a bit on the lifting equipment.

But please dont get those rockstars that are in your link you posted. Those are played out, even up here in washington where barely anybody rides aftermarket rims.

most newer chevy's are ifs , so almost all lifts will be a drop bracket in the front, which will maintain a very close to stock ride as long as you have the right shocks. along with the bigger, softer tire , i would vote lifted would ride better. Now if you went cheap like most people, you crank the front torsion bars and put blocks in the rear to stuff 33's on there , then yeah it will probably ride like shit

Yeah, i wasnt sure if the 94's were IFS or solid under the front end, but IFS will be very comparable in ride quality to a big-rims setup

i think the opinions are 50/50 , big rims , big lift , and big tires lol. 20 or 22's with 35-37's also you might want to think about you mpg too , rims will more than likely be easier on the gas tank, I lost 3-4 mpg when i put a lift and 33's on my 99 4runner.
