This is what I started with: This is what I have now: This is the OEM Midrange enclosure. It's fully sealed on the backside. it has a small port on the front just to the right of the speaker in this picture. I'm replacing the OEM mid/tweet with some Hybrid Clarus'. Do you guys suggest I replace that plastic enclosure completely with an MDF baffle over the entire hole in the door? My concern is the exposure to the elements. Could I paint/stain it with something to make it weatherrproof? Is another option a plastic baffle? I have no experience or the time to learn how to make a fiberglass baffle. Do you suggest a foam shield (baffle) on the rear to protect the 6.5" midrange from water? I have 2" of room between the face of the speaker and where it mounts to the door.
