ok you guys i drive a 1988 chevy astro van with a 4.3l vortec engine. i know the best thing i could do is change the mortor mounts and drop a 350 in but i dont want to deal with that. i would like to keep the 4.3l and add parts to it.

does any one know what intake manifolds and carbs i could add to give me some extra torque and HP? i know for a fact lots of companys make parts for the 4.3l vortec but my main consern is clearance with my engive cover(remember it is a van).

If you guys got any info or suggestions that would be awsome. let me know whats up fellas.

and as posted above. if i cant for some reason make my van faster. its getting dropped on 22" heres a pic of my van now.



now iam not trying to make this thing race ready i just want a little added power for every day driver. trying to pass people on the high way in this thing sucks.

you wanna know why it sucks????because its a CARGO VAN! bag it. youd be much happir....lol 22's on an astro, good luck havin them not stick past the fenders, seems every astro has small wheels because of this.

20" with a 2" tire fit the astro with no mods needed. so 22" with a little modification is totaly possible. might need to increase wheel well size a bit but that just cutting and welding.

o i never said it was hard (the fab work) more or less its hard to find a RIM that will tuck with the correct off space.

Well, put a cold air intake on it, exhaust, pulleys, powerchip, shiftkit. That should get you closer.

Supercharge it if it's the same 4.3 that comes in the s10's. if it's a different motor i am no help...
