Not knockin you but somethin really turns me off at some point. I think it could be that ding-dong bell you have, or in general, the melodic progression you have. It starts on beat 9 (or the beginning of the third bar, if this is in 4/4) where the strings go up, but some sound remains at its original note (sounds like a choir voice maybe).

Plus I wasn't too fond of the pitch & tempo variation. In my opinion, one tempo/pitch changeup is good enough. But I see you mean it as an intro track so I guess I could let it slide. Then towards the end, when you're messing with the hi-hats & cyms, the agogo bells (Pharell's favorite percussion), and the other additions, ... kinda comes from left field...And that bass drum towards the end of a 4 bar phrase (where it's the only drum going), is just "off".

I don't have much, but here's a couple beats I've done...we're entirely two different styles as you can see, so just my 0.02 dollars. You, or I, can't please everyone, everywhere, so good luck. Keep at it.

quit ****** at life and get back to car audio, i personally like the beat complete change from what the beats i usally listen to are. it is a lil "tingy" at some points, but i like it

kinda hard to make a beat on a keyboard, since hes not sampling any of his beats.Alot of the good i beat ive heard were either in a full studio or sampled on a comp. Considering what hes workin with i think he did decent

Quantization to 16ths would really help though...most keyboards have some quantizing utility while recording (if you're not sequencing).

You can make a pretty good beat off of a keyboard, by the way.

its jus drum lines i dont like makin on a keyboard......

n that seems to be what is recieving the most bashin here.

but ayy, yo. bring all the hate you guys got.

haters only make me stronger by makin me try harder.

Not sayn all of you are haters, i respect those who take the time to get deep into detail with how they really feel, even if its in a negative way, an explanation is givin why.

Also not everyone is gonna like everything, so can deal wit it.

didnt know that, havetn made a song on my comp...................yet:up2somet:

by hand is the way i did it, thats the first beat i ever made on a keyboard btw.

( Korg Triton Studio )

I aint exactly a rich guy, far from. so i dont have the best equipment at home.

I usaully use all computer based software.

I was givin some time to use that piece of equipment so i wasnt gonna say no you kno what im sayng.

I made that loop up in prob idk 15 - 20 min, wasnt suposed to be anything spectacular.

which is exactly why i aint using it for anything, was just for fun.

Best believe when i got some real time on that baby again ima make somthing better, maybe somthing ima actually use? haha idk, well see.

I think for the first minute of the beat it sounds too much like a song recorded at a fast tempo then slowed down. I think if you made the drums, etc. at a low tempo it would sound alot better, it just sounds really awkward for the first minute or so.
