k im trying to wire my LEDs,

these are ones i have, thier 2 volt red leds

and i was told to wire em up like this

but its not working. i had em hooked up to 4 1.5volt batterys so 6 volts.the leds are 2 volts each. and i ran em like that and each one was getting 6 volts(used a meter) so i pulled em out before they blew. did it again made sure it was wired exact and same thing.

here is how i had em wired.

anyone know why its not working pease let me know!!! electronics isnt really my thing.. eathier is spelling //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

yeah man, you have your negatives and positives all crossed up...and your first drawing doesnt match the second, but you should probably maintain polarity

If you notice in your drawing you have your positives and negatives in the wrong place, and if this is how you wired it up, then that would be why its not working. Look at this picture, its in the same direction as the instructional one. I don't know how to post the pictures like you did, but never the less here they are.

This image shows the correct method to connect them.

Lastly at the end of the string of leds, the wires must go somewhere, in order to close the circuit, otherwise its open ended and well i don't think that will work.

Hope this helps, good luck... oh yea do a search in the form for leds, i know saw somebody who did the whole roof liner with leds, so he could probably help you.

it looks like your not completing the circuit. i dont know though ive never worked with LEDs. but i have taken A6 electrical. i say this because i see two terminals at the last LED untouched. or maybe theyre suppose to. i dont know i'd have to be there to have hands-on to tell you i'm not fluent in electrical circuits. maybe try connecting the last two terminals together so the circuit is complete? i'm pretty sure thats it considering you're trying to run the in series. don't tax ME if you're LEDs go ka-blooey though.
