leaving cheese out for extended periods of time

ok so i went shopping on thursday and bought a package of munster cheese (it was sealed). i ended up forgetting to put it in the fridge and found it behind my computer on saturday. it's still sealed and all, and i put it back in the fridge, is it ok to eat?

not yet, let it sit out a few more days, to really kill the virus let it sit out in the sun for a few days then grab a fork and dig in

Safest thing to do would be unwrap it, put it in a plastic container in the sun for a few days until it gets moldy and a little furry. It will look nasty but that is how they make blue cheese and will ensure all the toxins from you leaving it out have cycled through the cultures and made it edible.
