after havin my other car broken into.an old guy just pulled out in front of me . he cut across 2 lanes then into my lane and i hit him in the rear quarter panel. he admitted fault to me and the officer. " i'm so sorry for doing that i didn't see you i should have looked my wife is going to kill me for wrecking her car" then said the same to the officer . i asked if that was documented and the officer goes the insurance companies will determine fault and then told me "leave your bumper or whatever" . now i'm stressing bc the officer didn't note anything didn't give a ticket or citation and bc of where i hit him.my mom is driving me crazy sayin that both the bodily injury and property damage people have called her telling her exactly how much coverage we have. shes sayin that i'm gonna be charged bc they don't usually do that unless it's ur fault even though they have yet to get into contact with the other driver. i just don't want old guy to change his story when it comes to the insurance people. his wife was complaining about back pains should i be looking for a lawyer?

any damage done to the rear of the vehicle is almost always going to be pinned on the person thats in the back.

I would not hire a lawyer. Part of what you pay insurance for is the cost of an attorney if the other side files suit.

its your fault. You did not have control of your car. If you did, you would have not have hit him.

Maybe they are pro insurance fraud ppl, and picked you to punk, being as your an inexperianced kid.
