These are not a "armor piercing" round. They do, however, have a steel penetrator cone directly under the nose followed by a lead core. They are not full metal jacket but a open based (the lead is exposed in the rear) even though it is still called FMJ by most people including the military. The design of this bullet is now the standard design that the military uses for world wide operations.
Accuracy is excellent with this round with a little above 2,700 ft/s out of a standard 16" barrel.
Good price for some good ammo.
