L7 vs CVX

can anybody comment on which of these is the better sub. im going to be running either a single or pair off a 2000 watt rms amp. the l7 only goes up to 100 Hz and the cvx is up to 500 Hz? now my amp only puts out to 250 so will i benefit from the cvx's broader rage or will it sound bad?

With 250 rms, you'll barely move that sub. Look at a Comp VR, or get an amp with atleast 600 or so rms if you want to run an L7 or CVX.

I'm giving my 10" L5 600+ rms (sub is rated at 450w rms) and it slams for a 10" setup, and doesn't mind the extra power at all.

What year is the sub? I have the 2002 version running on a Sundown 1000D at 2 ohms (600 watts) and it bottoms the sub out pretty easily... I hate the Kicker sub.

My 2002 12" L7s was the same way. I read all about overfeeding them when I first really got into audio. Figured a pair off 2000rms would be fine. I think they lasted 2 songs. Next time I'll make sure to follow the model year better.
