they both have the same sized 2 3/8 coil. you dont have the power for the L7's. with the right power the kickers will get louder no doubt. when have you seen a pair of aq 2.5 break the mid 50s.

One Q? 1200 would be good for one, but not two.

Look into IA lethal injections. Great subs, great price.

Pretty much any of the subs in this range will perform similarly, and you'd be happy with any of them. RE SE's, Fi SSD, SDC2.5, etc.

I've built a few 2 15" SDC set ups for guys powered by a 1200D and they were quite impressive for budget set ups. Sounded good and pounded the lows. 8.5cubes @ 38hz for each set up. Very solid sub for the $$$.

x2 on the Q wanting more power then 600watts...

I say go with Audioques. I love mine. They get loud and sound great tuned to 36 hz.

I had a 12" L7 off a ZX750.1 and it got loud but I think my SDCs sound a lot better while still getting loud. I ran a single 15" SDC off the ZX750.1 for a while before picking up 2 and the SAE-1200D.

not to dump on the thread but do you have pics of your setup? im about to put 2 15's in the back of a crown vic and i just happened to see your sig

Well since I just rounded up more cash I have enough to get the HDC's. Would the AQ2200D match these subs? Also I have a question about wiring. I have a book called the Car Audio Cookbook and what I read was that on a mono block amp there is no way to wire dual voice coil 4 ohm woofers to 4 ohms. It said that you can only do that with a multi channel amp. Is this true or can you wire a dual voice coil 4 ohm woofer to 4 ohms?

No you can not wire a D4 coil to 4ohms no matter what amp you have. If you had a 2 channel amp you could power each coil on each channel of the amp. You would need 2 D4s to wire to 4ohm. Or a single D2.

How do you wire it to 4 ohms? I am confused on that part. I am talking about 2 dual voice cone 4 ohm woofers.

And also if cash was an issue i would say get the Kicker CVX's. A pair of 15s of those in like say 8 cubes tuned to 35 would just get nasty with a AQ2200 on them. And as long as the port area isnt above a 100^2inches i would be willing to bet that you would say they are clean as hell also. The cvx is one of my all time favorite budget subs without a doubt. I actually ran a AQ2200 on a cvx 12 for awhile. Had it in a SQ box that was 2cubes tuned at 34hz did a 144.6 with it on the Tl. I will admit it was a bit much power for it only cus the suspension didn't like it but thats it.
