75 ft. sealed box @ 425 watts. Excellent small box system. Very conservatively rated, terrific, pounding bass, and good looking too. The machined top and back plates are perfect to dress up your classy installation....Very good woofer for the money.
1.0 cu. ft. sealed box @ 400 watts. Slightly more low bass and slightly less mid bass than the smaller box. They cruise in style at 325 watts, and you will too, with these beautiful woofers. Great on all types of music. Not bad for medium - large "bookshelf" home 3-way systems, also, if you have a large amp. See next entry.
As the box gets larger, the bass gets smoother and deeper, but with some power handling reduction:
1.5 cu. ft. sealed box > .8 dB rise, -3dB @41 Hz, 300 watts max.
2.0 cu. ft. sealed box > .3 dB rise, -3dB @39 Hz, 225 watts max.
2.5 cu. ft. sealed box > .1 dB rise, -3dB @38 Hz, 175 watts max.*
*This one is basically a "maximally flat" audiophile system. This is a terrific home theater system: A little power-hungry, but goes down to 21 Hz. Two per side in a push-pull arrangement would be awesome!
For full power handling use a steep high pass filter @ 20 Hz. Port (per woofer) = 4" I.D. x 12 3/8" long.
Note: Each time you double woofers in close proximity, you will pick up nearly 3 dB of coupling, plus the 3 dB output gain from doubling the power delivered. (This assumes your amp can deliver the power!)
