L5s or something else?

I'm more than happy with the SQ I get from my CVXs. I do feed them only 600 RMS though. They don't like a small box. If you want to go with Kicker, go with the Classics. They supposedly like small sealed boxes. I have no personal experience with them. I'm speaking solely based on what I've read.

Is there anything that will give me 500rms+ (each woofer)?

Okay, with that box I guess I would not get a good sound (louder).

I am leaning towards the L5s and getting a custom box for them...

is there any other 10" round woofers that push 500rms+ (min) that dont have a deep mounting depth? maybe under 8"? but has a good thump?

look into the e8's... there made by Sundown. with it being under the seats you still need to give them some room for a properly tuned box.

If I am not mistaken, these subs are 200rms right? I dont think I will be satisfied with that little of sound. Or do they hit harder than that?

I will be happy with a pair of 400rms woofers, anything more is better for me

I never heard of this brand so, do they sound louder than 200rms?

its not always about who puts out more wattage. the sundowns are some the hardest hitting 8's out there. Sundown makes 10x better products then Kicker does....contact Jacob on here his screen name is 'sundownz' he is the owner of Sundown. tell him what you have to work with and see what he recomends

I have been looking around online under this sub and it sounds good on paper and there is a lot of positive feed back

I beleive you can get true bass 8s for 100$ new these days..they'll take 600 all day a peice and they slam for 8s. Mounting depth is over 5" tho not sure if that matters, there pretty beefy.

Oh cool. I was reading reviews on them and 2nd guessed them (yesterday) because they said 200rms. Today I did more digging and see that there is more to them. I am waiting for a responce from sundownz

lol, I dont know very much about car audio except how to play a CD.

When it comes to the stats, ohms and all that stuff to match them together, im clueless (like it was hard to see. I just know I want a good souding system

lol, this is one of those threads where some people need to be taken out and beaten.

anyways, 90% is install my friend. Id put a couple of 8's in some boxes if you really just dont have the room for 10's. Id also make sure that the 8's get a little more than the required airspace if you go ported.

well, with that setup you can put more than rated power to the subs.
