I would not go from a CVR to an L5, not much of an upgrade IMO. You can work with the CVR, try different enclosures or more power before you dump it.

I'd say a L7. I have 1300wrms going to mine and its disgusting. Mad loud and I thought a 12 L7 running off 1000rms was loud.

Check out hifisoundconnection.com they have refurb Kickers the15" L5 are only like 135 I believe,and the L7 are like 190.
