trying to sell my kx2500. its in good condition. works flawlessly. birthsheet states 2960 watts rms @ 2 ohms. will run 1.4 ohms, will not run .7 ohms. trying to sell because of a recent obsession i got with motorcycles due to a friend. trying to off set a purchase of a bike by selling the amp and my subwoofer (which is still for sale btw)

looking to get $390 shipped and insured to the lower 48. price is negotiable as always. will get pics later

what about 1 ohm..haha.. hell of a deal and am considering it now.
sorry bro, wont do 1 ohm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

it will do 1.4 though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

no trades either, sorry should of mentioned it.

1.4 ohms is a DCR, or direct current resistance. The nominal load is 2 ohms. .7 ohms is also a DCR and the nominal in 1 ohm.

The 2500.1 will run at 1 ohm if you have the eletrical system to back it up. With mine, I have found it likes to go in to protection mode if the voltage drops below ~12.5v while being run under 2 ohms.

i know what dcr and nominal are, but when some people buy subs they look at the Re and they see "oh .7 for the btl, so in series it will be 1.4". that is the reason i mention it.

regardless, this particular amp will not do 1 ohm nominal (.7 dcr) but it will do 2 ohms nominal (or 1.4 dcr). this was with an electrical that had more beef to it than a lot of potential buyers will have. therefore, i only guarantee it works at 2 ohms nominal.

ive heard it before that they can run 1 ohm, but when i tried it, it would not work.

I ran my zx2500 @ 1ohm for a little bit. Never went into protect. And arent the KX2500's more stable then the zx2500's @ 1ohm?
I've heard more people use the Kx at 1ohm than the ZX. I also thought that both amps were the same just different looking.

as far as i know they use the same board. some minor changes here and there like no cooling fan on the zx but i dont know if they are exactly the same.

this amp does play 1 ohm fine, until it gets to higher volumes. it then cuts in and out of protect randomly.

Where are you located? In the south?? How much shipped to "38224", or, if your close enough, how much if i just pick it up?
