KVT-715 indash question

I had my KVT-715 hooked up and it worked. Later though it would turn on and as soon as i would click the SRC and go to tuner, DVD or anything it would turn off. I have to unplug a fuse (controls the doomlights etc) and it would turn back on, but it will do the same thing if i click on the src and try playing a CD. I can go through and look at the menu and all that stuff and it will stay on... If anyone has any ideas or experience any help would be appreciated. Thanks

hmm, I'll give a response because nobody else seems to have any suggestions. The problem sounds very strange. A few q's. How old is the unit? Did you install it or was it professionally installed? Do you know much about wiring? Basically, you have to figure out if it's a problem with the wiring or with the unit itself. Hopefully, it's the wiring. That's an easier fix.

i have the kvt-717 and i had the same problem, would turn on but would turn off as soon as i tried to use something/hit the src button and wouldnt turn on unless i did the same. Checked my wiring and redid my grounds... it was my grounds, it was grounded improperly, once i fixed that worked like a charm. check ur grounds, maybe thats the problem
