Kinetik HC600 puffed up

I have two HC600's behind my back seat in my silverado. I just noticed today that one of them is puffed up really big, almost double the size, It looks like its going to crack the case. What could have caused this? It is about 6 years old. And will it blow? how do i go about getting it out of there?

how do i go about getting it out of there?

Simple remove the positive and negative then grab it with your hands and take it out of the truck..lol

Just make sure you have gloves on and maybe a set of safety glasses on.

I know how to take a battery out, LOL. I just didn't know if it sparked or something it would explode. It is connected parallel to another one, So do I want to disconnect that one first?

And I will try to get a pic of it.

And I will try to get a pic of it.

Remove both negatives off each battery then remove the positives off each battery. Then they will be both disconnected and wont cause anymore damage when you remove the bad battery.

I'm guessing it started producing gasses it could not release...in any case it's no bueno and needs disposed of. Take it to a recycling center/battery shop.

there is your problem, you used red shink on red wire.....

good thing you saw it before it blowed up.
