Kimbo v. Shamrock tonight

Kimbo v Lesnar. The battle of the pointless freakshows. Although Lesnar could have been dominate if he started training back when he started the WWE and then started fighting now.
I wouldn't compare Kimbo with Lesnar.

First of all, I'm not sure of the weight of both of them, but I think Lesnar has a SLIGHT if any size advantage. Maybe not at all.

Secondly, Lesnar is an All American wrestler (#1 at his prime).... Kimbo is..... NOTHING. He throws punches in backyards and alleys.

Thirdly, Lesnar has been training a lot in MMA and you can see improvement.

Well put. Lesnar and kimbo should not be compared, other than they both are for the most part publicity fighters.

I can't really see EliteXC sticking around.

I was comparing them for the siple fact that both were thrown into a cage way before they should have been just to capitalize on the name. No matter what is said Kimbo is a tough guy and maybe if he started training before 44 years old he may have been a legitimate competitor. And as I said Lesnar has great potential. Putting him up against Coutre though with as little experience as he has is just asking for a quick finish.

I believe Kimbo is 34, not 44.

here is a quote from Seth, it seems the Elite XC execs tried to keep the fight in Kimbo's alley ,but it backfired.

Quoteworthy:

“My original plan was to throw out push kicks, have him think that I’m gonna throw them more, and then to shoot in on him, obviously. But the promoters kind of hinted to me, and they gave me the money to stand and trade with him. They didn’t want me to take him down, let’s just put it that way. It was worth my while to try to stand up and punch with him.”

Not like it matters now, but Elite XC fighter Seth Petruzelli talks about the promotion “hinting” to keep his fight against Kimbo Slice this past Saturday night standing rather than to try and take the street brawler to the ground. He ended up ending the fight standing in just 14 seconds. “The Silverback” indicated that he was paid “six figures” to take the fight against Slice, which is a nice payday for the former contestant on The Ultimate Fighter. The interview took place today on “The Monsters in the Morning” — a popular Orlando radio program in which Petruzelli is a regular guest to discuss mixed martial arts — on Real Radio 104.1. It’s a very interesting listen to say the least.

wish it was me knocking kimbo out. he over hyped , but 6 figures sounds good ahahah:D

I like eliteXC for their show factor.. This card was very entertaining.. they have some monsters in their ranks (Lawler, Diaz, Radich) and Womens MMA is WAAY overdue.. Cris Cyborg Santos is a Killer.. she would maul most men in the cage.. Their Stats are tight and i enjoy the showmanship of the Stats, Pre-fight info, and the entrances.. all good in my book.. Not to mention they are co-promoting with Affliction.. and the company is supposed to be purchased by Showtime to keep the name brand going with the BIG ratings on CBS and special events and undercard matches on the showtime channel..

I like that Affliction is partnered with Golden Boy Boxing, and will soonfeature both MMA stars and Boxing bouts on the same card.. Money will be made.. Esp with Affliction being co-owned by Donald Trump.. not 2 mention the No.1 fighter in the world Fedor drawing in MAJOR viewers

at this point who cares. He was never anybody in MMA and never will be, so enough of the circus and conspiracy theories.
Let him step into the ring with some top level fighters and he'll continue to get his *** handed to him.

WHY the F U C K you idiots think he's some sort of superman because he beat up some bums in back yards is beyond me...
excatly! Who cares, besides the Kimbo-nuthuggers!

If you guys that love and adore him so much, then head down to Florida and help the man out. Maybe do a youtube vid of you trying to figth him, because that is what he will be doing.............actually, if he did get paid extra for the fight, so I am sure he will be sitting pretty for awhile.

Also why would they give him extra money on top of the huge amount he already was getting to throw a fight for their cash cow? He was keeping EliteXC in business and now they have no one really to show-case. What Frank Shamrock or Tito? Please! That show will be going down soon. I admit, I liked it for what it was, which was a glorified WWE event really.

He didn't take a dive, he got rocked, plain and simple. EliteXC don't have the money to pay him to take a dive. They are just about out of moola anyway. Wouldn't even add up!

People say we are suckers for thinking it was an honest K0, well to all the nut huggers that think it was staged, you are the suckers!

I am just glad it is over with! I knew he wasn't shit and even if he was to try to come back, it would be agains some scrub, who don't have much expierence or know what the fawk is going on. Get anyone with some talent, and he is done........again! You Kimbo fans are just looking for any excuse!

FAIL........he couldn't even take the ref down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I think you got it backwards. Dana White is the one in trouble.

Kimbo lost because he was over aggressive. If Kimbo is shit then so is Petrucelli, Rashad Evans, Joe Stevenson etc being that they were nobodies competing on a reality show.

so theres no chance he threw the fight?
Behind the scenes many things could have went wrong with the whole shamrock situation,we don't know if he threw the fight or not. You can't say it is impossible that he threw the fight.

Kimbo will be back, and i really doubt he will get rocked like that again. And he is not a bum, it was clear that he was excited to knock seth out, unfortunately, kimbo kind tripped himself and got hit pretty good. IF IT WAS REAL?
Do you actually read any MMA forums that have people well versed on MMA fighters/fighting?
