Kevlar Cones

"I dont think we have any kevlar cones, scott is dead set against using

them on anything...as they're not really cost efficient unless you are

doing very very very extreme spl...ill check into it. If you must have a

kevlar cone i'm sure you could buy one from DD...but they are in the

ballpark of 300+ dollars for the cone alone..and honestly, it isn't

worth it."

"Honestly, a kevlar cone is not worth that much trouble...your not going

to get any benefit other then being able to say i can shoot the cone on

my sub with a bullet. It probably weighs close to the same amount as our

stock cones do anyhow.

We'll never use a kevlar cone, for various reasons //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. Most of which is

cost vs. benefit..."

These were reasons from nick when I was getting my SEXXX recone from Fi

Kevlar is better for mids to be honest...

It is used mostly (or originally intended for) absorbing standing waves on the cone. This feature however is useless because of the longer wavelengths on a subwoofer...

Paper is still in my opinion the way to go. It is light, rigid, reliable and cheap...
