I'm going to make a box, 2 cf @ 32hz for a pair of Powerbass 10's. I'm just going to kerf the port opening.

Step 1: Set the blade depth. I highly suggest having a scrap piece to test with. Should be like 7/8ths or 15/16ths deep. Just barely enough to keep it intact, otherwise it won't bend.

Step 2: Make cuts every 1/2" for ~5" (10 cuts) for a 90 degree bend. I made 6" worth of cuts and it was too many.

The wood should take a little force to bend, but once the wood gives a little, it should bend freely.

More coming later this afternoon.

cool beans.

if it were me, i would then proceed to bend the cuts open a little bit and apply copious amounts of kitty hair in the gaps... immediately after which i would have the box ready for the installation of this port, and bend it to the right specs and clamp it in place to dry as i wiped off the excess body filler - it would all need to be done in a few minutes because kittyhair\bondo dries quite fast. would prolly need to people to get the job done.

just thought i would ad my 2 cents.

I would let it sit in the pool for about 20 minutes... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
