Kenwood's New Excelon amp, Kac-X1R?? opinions

What are your opinions on the new line of Kenwood's excelon amplifer the Kac-X1R. Rated at over 1000 watts (rms) @ 1 ohm and 2400 watts peak. Bought one new for $200. Good deal or no?

A friend of mine has one, or he did. It kept blowing fuses when wired down to 1 ohm. Took that piece of sh!t back and got a real amp; Crossfire 1000D.
