Hey all, I was trying to find info on this unit on the web but I couldn't find much related to my issue. But, most of the general info I came across was on this forum, so I figured this would be my best shot. I got this HU used a couple weeks back, and just got done installing it in my '99 Grand Prix GTP (non-Bose). I was hoping for a better rounded sound from my speakers (stock back for now, and JBL GTO528 http://www.amazon.com/JBL-GTO528-5-25-Inch-2-Way-Loudspeaker/dp/B003KN2TEE/ref=sr_1_1?s=car&ie=UTF8&qid=1450656803&sr=1-1&keywords=JBL+GTO+5.25 up front). I know pretty much nothing about the intricacies of car audio. But, I'm read to learn. :P So, my issue is that after installing the HU, the bass and some highs sound really muffled and distorted. My stock speakers didn't sound very good with the two old stock HUs I had in it, but I figured that was from the HUs themselves as I tried an aftermarket HU and the speakers sounded better (but that HU was old and has issues). So, when I saw a deal on this HU used I did a little research and figured it would be pretty decent and maybe improve my speakers and hopefully I could get good sound out of the fronts. Not expecting any sort of extreme bass or highs, just want to get rid of the muffled sounds and maybe have a little usable bass. If anyone could direct me on what to fool around with in these convoluted menus that would be great. Thanks in advance!
