Kenwood XR-4S vs Cadence Xa-175.4 amp?

Hello all,

I'm stuck deciding between a kenwood XR-4S ($217) and the Cadence xa175.4 ($180), both are refurbs. Both amps fit my size and power requirement (under 15" to fit under seat) and I was wondering if the Kenwood is worth the extra $40? I'm really strapped for cash so anything will help me.

To throw in a wildcard in the mix, how does the MB quart DSC480 compare? At only $115 that's saving a lot of money!

Using this amp to power Phoenix Gold Xenon x5.0 comps & a MB quart RWE-354 sub.

Id stay away from referbs in general unless there very well known.. IMO thought the new kenwood amps are **** decent..

my uncle owns the x40 and i can honestly say its not very impressive at all. head to head with my old punch 200a4 and the punch was louder clearer and much cleaner. out of principle i wouldnt buy the kenwood. i have never heard a cadence so i cant give any advice there.

Look on ebay or the classifieds on this site for a Precision power PC4100 , i guarantee you will never want another amp.

whats the x40?

in the past they wheren't power houses but they where good budget amps..

I would go with the mb quart or the cadence for sure.

Over the US Acoustics USB 4085? I can get one for $95 shipped.

Edit: I believe the USB 4085 I'm looking at doesn't have the light bar..meaning it's ZED made?

not sure about the us model but i do know some were zed made. the x-40 was a 2008 model i believe. he also had a kicker 350.4 and it was pretty lame too.
