Kenwood x993 vs Alpine CDA-7998

I don't like doing these vs posts but I just have to get some feeback on this. These both look like awesome decks! Can't make up my mind! Posted wrong Alpine model in Thread title. It's the Alpine 9887.

Must haves-

Single Din

Great Sound Quality

3 4 volt preouts

Cd Player

Rear Aux port (high speed ipod connection)

Decent Equalizer

If u are into SQ...Alpine 7998 hands down...

If u need the bluetooth and USB then go with the kenwood...but if its SQ u are worried about,I'd take the 7998 over the x993 any day

Just realized that I posted the wrong Alpine model on the Thread title! It's the Alpine 9887!!! Thank you!

9887 is simpler than the x993. I played with the 993 today. I would take the alpine.

Still alpine lol..I heard those kenwoods are harder to control...plus the alpine has a burr brown 24 bit DAC...time aligment and other high end features the kenwood lacks.
