kenwood kvt-815dvd very bad ground. can it be fixed?

i installed my kenwood last nite and my subs just sit and rumble. The brain box was not grounded. i tried to ground it and it did the same thing as before. can somebody help me???

reground it? lol... thats the best way to fix a bad ground i can think of. make sure you grind it down to bare metal in the spot you ground to, put a ring terminal on the end of your wire, and one of the spiky washers to dig into the metal when you tighten it down. try to get it grounded directly to the body of the vehicle, not to things that are bolted to the body.

i did that but, i was told the brain was probably bad and that i shou.ld open it up and check the ground on the inside of it.
