Kenwood KIV-700 bypass

I see there are several bypass devices for displaying video on head units while car is not moving. For my HU, there is one wire which is to be attached to the parking brake sensor. Since the my source unit is only looking for this rather than rpms, etc. I would think I could get away with something much simpler that wiring in a bypass. My guess it that it is just looking for a voltage or close circuit. I would think I could just attach the wire to a constant voltage source equal to that of the parking brake, right? If so, where would that be?

yeah basicly your looking for the way to get the movies to play while your driveing??? if so take a switch like a toggle or i guess even a light switch if you wanna get crazy haha but anyway hook the wire to one side and ground the other side voila now you have a switch to turn on and off the blue screen that tells you that you need the parking brake on. if you dont care if you can shut it off simply just ground the wire and it will always be able to play with videos but as far as i know that is illegal so its always nice to have a switch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

with my kenwood DNX8120 all I had to do was ground the parking brake wire. No need for a bypass.

put a switch between your light green wire and ground...and you just learned ebays $25.00 cheap *** $.50 cent alarm toggle switch DVD bypass kit secret...

yeah you can just put it to ground but who doesn't like more switches in their car??? haha
