Kenwood KDC-X693/993 + Ipod Nano 6th Gen.?

Hey guys wondering if anyone on here with a Kenwood KDC-X693 or 993 has used a 6th Gen. Ipod nano with it. I'm shopping for a new Ipod and the 5th and 6th gens are basically the same price for the 16gb. The manual says it's compatible with up to 5th gens but the 6th gen didn't exist when that manual was printed. I know I can get it to play but I want to be sure I'll have full controls from the deck as well as charge the deck via usb. if I can't do that I'll just get the 5th gen.

So if anyone has this combo or has access to one to try out, I'd appreciate the input, thanks.
