Kenwood kac-929 actin up

I have a old old Kenwood kac-929. When ever I hook it up the voltage will be around 12.8 v but the when the amp turns on it drops to 10.2v. I’ve had different amps hooked up and they work. And I even tried using a different battery it sill would shut off after the voltage dropped.

Sounds like a power supply issue ...

It’s not though. Other amps work just find. The external battery I used is a huge fully charged marine battery

The amp also gets very hot
