As always let's get this silliness out of the way first ~

PAYMENT TYPES ACCEPTED:

PayPal ~ I am a Verified PayPal trader with a Premier Business PayPal account. I can accept E-check, existing account balance (whether it be PayPal account balance or the bank account your PayPal is tied to), and credit card fund transfers.

I CANNOT ACCEPT, under any circumstances, a PayPal payment that does not have a PayPal Confirmed US shipping address associated with it. Due to the type of PayPal account I hold (and the settings I have in place) any payment attempts from accounts without a Confirmed shipping address will immediately be returned to the sender without my ever knowing you tried to pay me. If you do not have a Confirmed shipping address your options are to either get an address Confirmed by PayPal or use one of the alternate payment methods described below.

Money Orders/Cashier’s Checks/Personal Checks ~ I will happily accept any of these types of payments. My preference regarding money orders are the ones available from the US Post Office (Postal Money Orders) as they are the easiest to deal with. I will, however, accept money orders from other vendors.

Good ‘ole cash ~ This type of payment is purely at the discretion of the buyer. This seller will under no circumstances accept responsibility for that cash not actually making it to me. It’s a sad but true fact that there are dishonest people in the world and one or three of those people could potentially be under the employ of the United States Postal Service. If you choose to remit payment in this fashion you will do so at your own risk. I’ll happily accept cash payments but the bottom line is I do not recommend putting cash in the mail.

SHIPPING INFORMATION:

For buyers paying via PayPal with existing account balance transfers or credit cards your purchased item(s) will ship out no later than one (1) business day following my receipt of your payment in full.

The shipping times quoted above will also apply to any buyer(s) paying with mailed Cash. (please see disclaimer listed above regarding payments via cash)

For buyers paying via cashier’s check, personal check, E-check through PayPal, or money order your purchased item(s) will ship out no later than one (1) business day following the payment funds clearing my bank account. Please be aware that this process can potentially take up to seven (7) business days to accomplish. I’m not going to withhold shipment any longer than is necessary but I will not ship anything prior to ensuring I have, in fact, been properly paid.

Actual shipping will be via USPS Priority Service including Delivery Confirmation and shipping insurance. I have sent many, many items using this method and as of yet *knock on wood* I haven’t encountered any foul-ups. I pack my shipped items as if to withstand gale-force winds and moderately severe abuse by shipping clerks/package handlers so no worries there. In the unlikely event that your item does not reach its destination in the same condition it left its origin you’ll have the security of knowing that your shipment is insured for more than you paid for it. J

Scans of the applicable receipts will be sent to the buyer the day that shipping takes place to give the buyer the necessary tracking and insurance amount as well as to show where the package was sent to.

As always with any used audio gear Prowler is selling what you see is what you get. There are no “it worked last time I had it installed,” or “I was told that it works ~ I don’t know what’s wrong with it now!” Every item I offer for sale has been recently tested for operational condition on my own personal test bench. If it is listed as 100% operational then that’s what I ship out. Any flaws present will be included in the description. Please feel free to check my linked references found in my posting signature – both the ones from sales on this forum as well as my 100% eBay feedback linked there as well.

Now to the item for sale!

Kenwood KAC-746 4/3/2-channel amplifier ~ $75/shipped

I’ve personally used an amp of this model in an install for a friend and it performed solidly. He’s using it in mono bridged configuration on a set of Polk Audio components in the doors of a mid-80s Dodge Ramcharger 4x4. Mounted to his ghetto amprack in the rear cargo area alongside his monoblock it finds itself the victim of offroading adventures pretty often and thus far shows no signs of quitting.

This specific unit has been thoroughly tested on my own test bench and all functions show to operate properly/as labeled. All 4 channels produce clear output. Bridged operation works properly. HP and LP filtering operates as labeled on the pots. The only item I did not test and consequently cannot stand behind is the RCA pass-through outputs. I will assume that they work correctly seeing as every other function on the amp works as it is supposed to but since I did not personally test them I will not say 100% that they work.

Here’s the skinny:

Dimensions ~

11 7/16”W

2 1/16” H

9 1/16” D

RMS output ratings ~

35w X 4 @ 4 Ohm stereo

50w X 4 @ 2 Ohm stereo

100w X 4 @ 4 Ohms mono bridged

Unit is NOT rated to be stable below 4 Ohms in mono-bridged configuration or below 2 Ohms in 4-channel stereo configuration.

Direct-connect terminals for high-level input. Can be used with a stock HU without the need to include an LOC.

Can provide four channels of amplified output with only a two-channel input. If you’re using a HU that only has a single set of RCA preamp outputs then you wouldn’t need to use Y-splitters to use all 4 channels of output.

One (1) set of RCA preamp outputs for sending the source signal to another amplifier (without the need for another set of outputs on the source unit.)

HP and LP filtering, 12dB/octave slope, continuously variable from 50Hz to 200Hz (independently adjustable for front and rear outputs)

Could be used to drive coaxials front and back.

Could be used for powering a (really efficient!) low power active front stage.

Could be used to power a set of components.

However it gets used is up to you! It’s a fairly flexible unit with decent inbuilt processing.

The buyer will receive:

One (1) Kenwood KAC-746 multichannel amplifier

The buyer will NOT receive:

Anything not specifically mentioned in the above list
