Kenwood KAC-7252 Bridging (amp)

Newb here.

I have 2 12 inch 300 RMS watt Kicker subs (4 omh) that I plan on hooking up to the amp. Anyone know the best way to connect the speakers for maximum bass? I guess bridging it is best for maximum power? But with one channel and two speakers, how should I connect them? Take the positive to one speaker and the negative to the other from the amp and then use one wire to the other positive and negative on each speaker?

Any suggestions or advise would be great. Thanks

the book says:

Normal:

4 Ohm 170w x 2

2 Ohm 250w x 2

Bridged:

4 Ohm 500w x 1

So with the speakers I have, what's the best way to connect them? I really have no idea..Thanks

if I'm reading the book correctly, if I wire it as I stated above, it would combine the impendence of the speakers to 8 ohms...is that not correct? shouldn't i be able to run this safely in bridge mode somehow? Thanks

You can't bridge these speakers to it, unless like stated above, you want to let the magic smoke out... It'll prob just go into infinite protect mode before for that anyways.

The wiring on this will be simple...

You wire the positive and negative terminals on one sub to the positive and negative terminals on one channel and do the same on the other channel...

And that's the only way you can wire them, you'll get 170W x 2. Should sound pretty good.

I really apperciate the assistance guys. I really want to be able to run this on mono safely, so I can use the low pass filter to make my subs sound lower. They really don't sound like I want them to on stereo.

So since the amp is stable at 4 ohm mono, can't i wire the two subs like this safely with no magic smoke?

Or if there is no way to run both speakers mono, maybe I should just run one speaker at 500 x 1 and lower the gain down some since the speaker only holds 300? Thanks
