Can i Ipod be used with this HU. If so what is needed? I just ordered this for Xmas and someone is getting me the 30 Gb that plays vid.That would be cool to play through the HU.

If you want to get something that will let you play videos in the car, that is probably going to be something else more like this made by Valor Multimedia, lets you store MP3 and MPEGs and play them through a screen. They should be available in the next several weeks. Neet idea (its the thing on the top righ).

huh? um yea

get a male RCA cable with a 3.5" headphone jack hook the rca ends into the AUX of the HU and viola.

OK, the real question is, do you want to control it like a changer, or do you want to actually just use the Ipod and go with the cheapest setup out there?

I guess the Ipod controller they make is one option, the Aux input is the other option. You can "use" your ipod with both.

although I'm using the ip500 on my x889, works well enough and helps keep the ipod 'out of site'
