Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X911 and KGC-7043 Equalizer

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and think I may have found a good deal on eBay. There's a seller on there with a KDC-X911 and KGC-7043 Equalizer for sale. I know these are older units but I'm sure it's an impressive setup.

I've messaged the seller and he used them together and said the sound quality rivals today's systems. Is that true?

I know these were pretty hot back in the day. What do you guys think?
