Guys,
After looking around and getting advice from some of you I decided to go with the Kenwood Excelon kdc-x869...and I'm **** glad I did. This deck is head and shoulder above the Panasonic mp3 deck I had previously. It's simply amazing in terms of SQ and customization.
The SQ settings are ridiculous compared to those of the Panasonic. Kenwood puts so much more at your fingertips and allows you to tweak just about anything. The Panasonic was very stripped down and the SQ was just average anyway.
The mp3 playback has been great also. In my Panasonic I always had to rip the cd's with a certain program so I wouldn't get that annoying chirping every once in a while. This was a pain in the *** because anything that I downloaded I had to go and re-rip so it would sound ok. The Kenwood plays anything I throw at it flawlessly. The fact that it reads ID3 tags is another plus that the Panasonic didn't have.
The dual panel is quite attractive and anyone who gets in my car thinks it's badass. It's quite solid too, which was surprising to me. The multiple angles makes it fit in almost any car too.
Overally I'm definately happy with my purchase. It's a great deck at a great price ($320) on ebay from a guy I've done business with before. If you like Kenwoods decks and features, this is a sure bet for your rig.
I definately recommend it.
