Kenwood Excelon KDC-X794 or Alpine CDA-105

I am looking to get a new head unit for my 2007 Hyundai Sonata. After weeks of searching, I think I have finally narrowed it down to one of these two receivers. Does anyone have any experience with either one and can tell me which to get? Or if you have one of them, just tell me how one of them is, and how you are liking it. Also please include any cons you may have about the receiver.

The main feature that I really want is something that will work with my iPhone 3G. The receiver also needs to have excellent iPod controls. I have spoken with several Crutchfield representatives via the live chat program and they have each somehow suggested something different. I was told that if I wanted great iPod controls, Kenwood or Alpine were the way to go.
