Kenwood Excelon KDC-X589 or Kenwood EZ-500

I am getting a new head unit to connect to my Kenwood Music Keg but i dont know which one is better...should i get the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X589 or Kenwood EZ-500

I put the EZ-500 in my wifes car and have been very impressed by it. No amp, Infinity 6x9s in the rear deck and some Rockford Fosgate Fanatic 6.5s in the doors. It sounds great, and its pretty easy to tune.

holy christ they are expensive. I can get the KDC-X789 for about $220 shipped. With that said I know someone thats a big kenwwod junky and he says dont bother with KDC-X lower than 789
