ok i just just got this from a friend.. a cd is stuck in it so that sucks.. but im wondering how do you access gps on it? have to buy a 300$ add on? and what is the trick to watch movies while driving i forgot been awhile since i messed with one somethin with the ground wire and parking brake? if anyone has this in dash lmk im new with it wouldnt mind some fine tunning thanks..

yeah, ground the parking brake wire and it can be on all the time. I'm gonna look up that model for ya.

From what i've read on the websites selling it..there isn't a GPS function in that unit.

Yeah you can add on one of several different Kenwood GPS units to that I'm pretty sure. The recommended one to use is the KNA-G510 and runs in the $300 range on eBay, new.

anything cheaper? and how do u ground it exactly? now its not wanting to take my cds! i think the motors out..

can u hook a ipod touch up to it and watch movies on it?

take the green parking breake wire and ground it

either to the a metal ground or with the radios ground

Just take the above mentioned parking brake (green) wire and the radio's ground wire and ground them both together. Same way I did it on my 7100.

As far as the CD being stuck, that's another issue. Does the radio even try to take the CD in?

it makes a loud noise think the motors out.. it trys to edject but when u put another in it sticks and took forever to get out..

i have a ipod touch is there anyway to watch videos from it on the screen? i got a headphone to rca on it right now on video 1 but i wana see the ipod stuff on the screen??

DNX = Nav

DDX = No Nav

I put that exact same unit in the Kenwood rep's G35 the other day.

ok so i got a ipod hook up that hooks into the headphone jack then has red white and yellow... i hooked it into my deck into input 1 or video one but when i turn it on and go to video 1 all u can hear is the song not the video on the screen?? can video come out of the headphone jack on a ipod touch???

Make sure the cable is plugged all the way into the iPod...I know stupid question but I am serious...on those ipods they dont always go in all the way even though it feels like it (thats what she said)

OR its because Apple sucks balls and you need to get their cable...some sort of resistor code in the cable that allows video to play.

Oh, and Kenwood makes an iPod cable that has audio and video to be able to be controlled by the deck...but not the one you linked to, I think that one will only do audio and you control it yourself.
