Kenwood eXcelon Android Auto question.

I have a Kenwood DMX706S and it does Android Auto. I have connected my cell phone via the only USB port available on the DMX706S. It works however the app used to play music (Google Play Music) sucks and I would rather use something else like my flash drives. To do this they have to be in the only USB port on the head unit. My question is, does ANYONE know if the DMX706S will do wireless Android Auto? My phone does not but I can always get a Galaxy or Pixel phone.

DMX706S doesn't support wireless. You'd need to bump up to a DDX8706S or DMX906S for wireless Android support.

The 706S was so much cheaper than the 906S... Oh well, still Hires audio and it sounds great so far. I will just look for a better music app compatible with AA. Thanks man.

I am going to try the app called BlackPlayer and see how that does with the music. I wish I could just use my Onkyo HF player app. This thing is the best music player I have used.
