I'm not brand bias, but I don't know why Kenwood has gotten such a bad name. I've had a Kenwood double-din in one car for over 5 years and it still works perfectly. Paint on the buttons is a little faded, but display, buttons, remote, everything works great. I have an Excelon 659 mp3 deck in my truck and it's had no problems for over 2 years. Both of them are non-motorized flip down faces. So I don't know if that has helped or not.
