The 395 is $120

The 396 is $130

The 596 is $135

All including mounting hardware, harnesses, etc...

All I really use a deck for is CDs and an iPod, which all of these do the same. I hook up my sub amp off of the pre out, and power my front stage off the head unit amp. I've had good experiences with kenwood excelon in the past, and would like to use them again.

Am I really going to see a difference in any of these? I'm mostly interested in if the 2012 versions (the 396 and 596) had any upgrades internally to make them more robust, or if the internal amp/processor is noticeably cleaner/better sounding. I don't want to pay for any of the tricky Bluetooth gadgetry. So if that type of stuff is the only upgrade, I'll stick with the cheapest one.

how about a bnib kdc-x796 for 125? shipped

Sorry man, wanting to buy through an authorized dealer so I get the 2 year warranty. Thanks for the offer, though.

Have any recommendations on the models I listed by chance?
