Kenwood dnx8120 navigation problem

Ok i need a little help guys. I got in my car today and entered the address i was heading out to on my kenwood dnx8120. I'm not sure what the proper term is, anyway the voice or person started relaying the address to me as i was backing up. So before i backed all the way up, i left something in the house and had to go back. So when i got back into the car, i hit the recent address search menu to continue where i was headed, but the voice/person that relays the direction was talking. If i'm playing music, the voice would cut in over the music to let me know where my next turn is, but it would just be a pause, then my music would start back playing. On the navigation screen it was still telling me giving me the correct direction, its just the person is not talking anymore. I don't think i hit any other buttons or loosen up any wires, but you never know. Anybody got any tips or tricks i can try to get the voice back talking on the navgation?
